We are hanging out these days, while hanging in there waiting for spring. And other sundry signs of new life.

So, the room-of-no-colour got a makeover. Two makeovers, actually, what with an initial colour choosing folly. Funny how we didn't think a colour called "Supernova" would be too bright. But happily, the paint store retints for free.

And all the fresh new white bits look pretty nice too. We have a fresh appreciation for masking tape, drop cloths, and naptime.

And then, to reward ourselves for all that hard work, we bought Sebbie a little kitchen. Because his Mama wanted one. Though he has very graciously adopted it as his, and has cooked up a storm in it. He seems most fond of the doing dishes aspect of cooking...Now if only he had some kitchen utensils so he didn't have to stir the button soup with a wrench.

And in the midst of all this domesticity, it's nice to take a little break. The blue napkin is his apron/bib/blanket/tablecloth/paintbrush. And in a pinch, he'll wipe the floor with it.

And for those of you that have been wondering, this is the view from our upstairs bathroom. Charming, no? Who needs mountain scapes and evergreens when you can look at high rise condos and downspouts?
