Spring is springing very slowly. One might almost say imperceptibly. Or say, not at all. But the snowbanks are starting to lose some of their bulk, and the streets are more grey than white.
Which is why it's a good time for diversions while we wait for the ground to thaw.

Like coffee and croissants at the French cafe/nook in the corner of Club Nautilus. Well, coffee for Mama. And some small firetruckman ate almost all of the croissant. But we were happy.
And another infrequent diversion - the car wash! Sebbie inexplicably has an obsession with the car wash, even though he's never been to one before. But, for $5, we get a clean car, and a thoroughly entertained toddler for 15 minutes.

And barring that, we could always let him drive Papa's truck. Definitely a close second.

In other car related news, Sebbie asked us to turn the car radio on today: "Want car to sing!"

And sing we all did, all the way to the garden centre, where there was much running and amazement and looking at fish and birds and fountains and fudge. Oh, and a few plants, too.
