Between periods of time where we forced our small children to sit in their car seats for too long (this is a total lie - I doubt we ever drive two hours at a stretch, and spend the whole time turned around entertaining, feeding, placating. But I digress) we had some summer-ish time.

Not so much summer-ish weather, but there was one day that made it seem like a good idea to hose out the (now devoid of sand) sandbox and fill it with water.

The hose got plenty of action this summer, though.

Wonder what Scotty said that made him run away?...or maybe Sebastien just realized that Scotty can run a lot faster.

And then there's this little one...just itchin' to run with the big ones, I suspect. And Ruthie, just itchin' to have her own little one on the outside of her skin.

It was summer enough to find lots and lots of raspberries. We had quite a few feasts like this (yes, often in our pajamas).

And we made some muffins, too. That Papa was kind enough to taunt poor toothless Felix with.

And Sebastien moved on in his career aspirations to "miner." He's quite fond of the dark, scary basement now.

And Felix? He's still cute.
