We thought we would try having dinner without a baby on one of our laps, just for the heck of it (mostly because I thought it would be a shame to get tomato soup on that nice white sleeper). So here is Sebbie, joining us at the dinner table in his own chair, sort of, closely supervised and heavily padded.

April showers are just around the corner - Sebbie thought he would get a head start and have his first shower in March. His Papa was only too happy to oblige.

Sebbie is starting to feel more like himself again - still rosy cheeked, but not nearly as snotty. Yeehaw.

Sebbie has been blowing raspberries at us for weeks, and he decided to teach Tom how to do it too. Tom is a fast study, and Sebbie beams his approval.

Well, the weather was kind of blah today, and there was nothing good in the fridge, and we just did the same old hangin'-around-the-coffee-shop-thing, and even though Sebbie is still coughing away and generally feeling not so great, he still thought it was exciting.

And we thought it was time for another cameo appearance of a non-Sebbie baby. This is Logan, only three weeks old, and his Mum Amy. Logan has a cold too!

This pillow has been seen before...but never as a sleep aid! Little Sebs has his first cold, and it's not very nice for him - the pillow is a good sleeping prop for this coughing baby. Tips on how to soothe a baby's cough are welcome, of course.

Well. I think after 100 days of decorum, we are entitled to some silliness. Today's theme is green, to match Sebastien's boogers, his sleeper, his bumbo, and lately, the contents of his diaper. Have I mentioned he has been a little under the weather?
Today was Sebastien's 100th day here with us. Not that we're counting, but y'know, the blog counts the entries, so I had to mention it.

We had a nice day with Johanna. Many things happened. Most of them involved food.

We played some Scrabble. Sebbie finally got a wrist rattle you can actually hear. I know, looks an awful lot like a bear bell, doesn't it? Did I mention his Papa was cleaning out cupboards today....?

And we tried out the new sling, made right here in this apartment!

Johanna came to visit again - Sebbie shows off his tricks for her.

And poses with his parents.

And tells his Dad a story...fun day! And we didn't even tell you about the long walk we took with Ruthie and Scotty.
Or, as the saying goes - "Time flies like the wind; fruit flies like bananas."

Yo Dad. Little Sebs aspires to teenaged punkhood already.
Sigh.

It's pretty fun for the boys to share a chair, especially for their Moms - it's much easier to eat gooey treats with two hands.

Of course, sometimes it's also fun to not share a chair. But where did all the toys go? I'll just suck on my hand some more...

Sebastien to date has not been a big fan of the Bumbo. But it's hard to cry with your fist in your mouth, and mmmm, is that fist ever yummy.

Sebastien has gotten a little more fond of tummy time.

But what he really likes these days is to stand up for what he believes in. Peggy is very supportive of this notion.
When you say you live in Thunder Bay, people invariably ask if you've been to the Hoito - now Sebastien can say he's been going for breakfast at the Hoito since he was three months old. Of course, it was a BYOB (Bring Your Own Boob) affair for the babies...

Somebody has to hold the babies so the rest of us can eat! Sorry, Ryan....

If Dad would just move his arm, I could get at some of that tasty looking bacon.

Sebastien became obsessed with his feet this morning. What are those wiggly things down there in my pyjamas?? He is nowhere near reaching them, so they may keep him entertained for some time.

Sebastien turned three months old today. We sang him a quarter of the happy birthday song. And we let him go to Chapters and carouse with beautiful women. He even wore his silk argyle sweater and pants set....

Which is quite fetching, even without the sweater, wouldn't you say?

Sebastien is all dressed in his traveling clothes. His shoes have bears on them, in honour of traveling with Bearskin Airlines.

One last snuggle with Oma, and then it's time to be strapped into the dreaded carseat.

Sebastien has had enough with the newborn-baby-over-the-shoulder type holding. He wants to see what's going on and take part in the conversation.

An intergenerational conference.

Nancy and Aurora came to see Sebastien today - and they brought him (among other things) a new hat! It seems his head has some growing to do...

Aurora happened to bring a ball too, which Sebastien just had to get his hands on. Lucky for him, Aurora is the sharing type.
Today we have a list of new places Sebastien visited, and took in stride:

1. The airport. Nobody loves airports, but Sebastien took a very mature interest in all the goings on at the Thunder Bay International Airport.

2. An airplane. The littlest bear (incognito here, as not wearing his bear suit) rode the Bearskin with aplomb. He especially enjoyed watching the plane being fueled up.

3. His Oma and Opa's house! Most of us aren't allowed to sit on the table, but Sebastien got special dispensation. Who could refuse that crooked little toothless grin?

4. His Oma's lap. Sebastien had a great little pre-bed snooze, and Oma had a nice moment with him.

Sebastien noticed today that he had hands. He spent a good chunk of his day staring at them. What he didn't notice is that Peggy is definitely winning the hair-growing contest.

Sebbie did some serious basking today; first he basked in spring sunshine while riding in the Chariot, and the later he basked Cheri and Ruth Ann's attention.

And we caught up with Scotty again, who hasn't been seen on SPD for far too long. Scotty is around 18 pounds now, and covered in frogs. Oh wait, those are just his pyjamas. The nice thing about having a little buddy just a few months older is that you can borrow his clothes when you throw up all over your own.

Since having Sebastien, we have had to learn to roll with it. Sebastien thought he would like to get in on the rolling action.

Ta-da!

More adventures in skiing with Sebastien and Maaritta. She is a much more experienced skier than Sebastien, but he is quickly learning the fine art of snoozing in the Chariot. Here they are pre-ski.

During the ski...really, there are babies in those sleds! Maaritta's Mum Becky joined us too, of course!

And apres-ski. They look happier, don't they?

And just for fun, Sebastien's feet.

Today we learned that if you want Sebastien to sleep in the daytime, you have to swaddle him in the blanket with the owls on it - owls sleep in the daytime, so they are a good example. We'd better not use it at night though, or he might start flying around the apartment hunting mice. That would be weird. But it would make a good blog entry.

Our baby would love to go to the symphony (he told us so), but the concerts are always after his bedtime. Heather the symphony pianist came to see him at home, since she dines upstairs on Tuesdays. Lucky Baby!

Sebastien is going for his first airplane ride in a week, to meet his Oma and Opa. His Papa thought he would prepare him for the experience...Sebastien is not thrilled. But then, it might just be the goofy cloth diaper he is wearing that makes his butt look big, that he is not thrilled with. He much prefers the sleek disposable look.

The most exciting part of everyone's day around here was getting to go for another ski. But it was darn windy, so we have no pictures of that. Here is Sebastien resting up for his big ski adventure.

And then telling Tom about it later.
Sebastien and his parents learned two things today:

1. Sebastien can bend in half (though we suspected this from our previous adventures in farting the baby).

2. Sebastien CAN be babysat...if the babysitter lives right upstairs, and if there are two of them, and they really, really insist, and if one of his parents is home downstairs, and if it is the middle of the day and not more than two hours, and if his Mama leaves endless pointless instructions, etc etc. So here he is with one of his proud babysitters, and a good time was had by all.
For the first time ever, the Sibley Ski Tour is not being held at Sibley, due to lack of snow. It is being held at Kamview this year. We felt this was occasion enough to try out skiing with Sebbie for the first time.

Here we scout the trails of the race - but not on race day, heck no.

Sebastien the Stalwart, unaware of the significance of the event, snoozes through it all. I have a feeling we might go skiing again sometime...baby soothing tool #687 has just been discovered.

And it couldn't have happened without Karen, who schlepped the sumobaby for half of the outing, and provided moral support (and Gatorade!)
