Naked Baby Alert!
It's astonishing how much faster he can move when he's naked.
But even when fettered by a diaper, he can make his way into dark corners at reasonable speed. As long as there is a bicycle there to play with, that is.

And for those of you wondering why there are some many photos of Sebbie in this particular pose - it's because Sebastien is obsessed with the camera strap, and will crawl and slither across great expanses of floor, grass, bed of nails or carpet to get it. Okay, maybe not the bed of nails. And if the camera weren't quite so swanky, maybe would let him gum it and maul it and puke on it to his heart's content, but then there would be no more blog, and that would be sad.

Explorations
Sebastien returns from an (unsuccessful) foray to the pantry. He found nothing there that was worth knocking over or putting in his mouth, oddly enough.
And then Sebastien explored the properties of transparent plastic. Very curious. I can touch it, but I can't grab it. Must pet it for hours.

Happy Trails
Little Sebs had his first outing in the backpack today. He's not much of a load to shoulder yet, but getting heavier every day.
He seemed to enjoy the experience. So much in fact, that he gave us a big toothy grin.

Boundaries

Six Months!
Now that Sebbie is six months old, he has to start doing chores. His Saturday chore is to re-organize the facecloths. He prefers to do this naked.
Actually, what he really prefers is to lounge around in friendly arms chewing on something. Maybe the chores can wait a few years.

Lunch at Rita's
Sebastien and his Mama had lunch at Rita's today, along with the baby in Rita's belly.
The adults got sandwiches and lentil salad, Sebastien got a cracker wrapper. Yum. Okay, okay, he got the crackers too.
And then we introduced Sebastien to someone his own size. Funny, I thought they'd get along.
What a great day.

Aaaaand...we're Back!
He's refusing to eat in his highchair, and eschewing bibs and face-wiping as much as he can...he's teething, he has a cold, and at time of exposure, has been awake for about 6 hours. No wonder he doesn't want his picture taken.
If only couches were big enough for adults to share them like this...

Hiatus
Okay, we're not really on hiatus. (Though I remember when Magnum P.I. went on hiatus once when I was a youngster, and thought that was really strange. But then, I thought hiatus was something like a safari. And it could be. But we're not doing that, either).
Somebody just forgot to take a picture yesterday, but have no fear, there is a picture of Sebastien (and Scotty!) out in the e-sphere somewhere, and as soon as I get my greedy little mouse on it, I will post it.

Hits and Misses
Well, maybe the leopard print chair at Winners won't be making it into our househould, judging by Sebbie's reaction (well, even if he'd loved it, it probably wouldn't have come home with us).
The size XXXL 100% wool bowler hat, on the other hand, is beloved. Almost as much as Sebastien's real favourite toy - any piece of paper.

Gruel to be Kind
Most of the time, Sebastien gets treated like a little king around here. Except at breakfast; everybody else gets waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, and Sebastien just gets rice gruel. Ugh.
