So expect some glitches...
On the low-tech front, Sebastien has been enjoying the creative possibilities of crayons, paint and those Lego that are halfway between huge and tiny.



Funny how there are no pictures of him drawing at his kid table, where he spends 90% of his drawing time, and where the light is best. Could be because of the ongoing "Mama draw!" command. Mama draw what? Mama draw BLUE garbage truck! Over and over and over...

Sometimes it's nice to build a tunnel instead.
For these fun things.

Tomorrow it will become an elaborate bird-feeder (which the 100 pound squirrels will quickly demolish. Sigh. It's hard to like urban squirrels.)
But along with cheerful indoor trees, there were other reasons to smile, like eating sausage;

Eating chocolate, at bedtime, no less!

And having a wonderful time with Sharky while she stayed with us for Christmas. Urban cats are easy to like - at least this one. And she is smaller than the squirrels! And doesn't steal the birds' food!

And today, the best gift, 20 cm of new snow, and some temperature warmer than -20. For a few hours, anyway.


The wind is howling around this old house tonight, but the small one is sleeping and the snow is all shoveled into a fun toddler maze in the backyard, and even a couple of forts. Happy New Year!
