It was warm, briefly. The plants grew! The kids are growing! Probably even faster than the weeds.

The piles of laundry are substantial as well. Too bad the sun has gone away...

Looks promising, no?

Oh well...we'll work on it.

Pushing the limits of the Volkswagen...3 adults, 2 car seats, a double Chariot...a lot of snacks.

To Trowbridge Falls, where Sebastien showed off his new intrepid side again...

And again...

And again!

Enough already.

Scotty and Sebbie babysit each other. Very safe, I'm sure.
And now, for some more of this cuteness.

Whoah, hey, I can hold my head up!

But not when I'm tired.

Felix loving the great outdoors.

A rare sighting of Sebastien's hair. Where is his hat???

Our wee artiste. If this rain keeps up, we'll have to buy a lot more paint, though.
Felix has been hanging out with us for seven weeks. We're getting used to him. And by we, I mean Sebastien. The big people have been pretty happy to have him here from day 1.

Though I wouldn't say thrilled just yet...

He is, however, thrilled with his new workin'manshovel. Oh yes. He even brought it to the marina.

Felix brought his favourite new blanket. It's our new go-to blankie.
In other news, Sebastien is trying out his Pollock-style art, with mud and a brush. These days he's having a quick shower before we can even let him get in the tub.

And then, once he's in the tub, he does weird things with his appendages.
I had no idea he could do this.

I also had no idea Felix could sit in the Bumbo already. But he's clearly way too young, so we won't do that again for a while. We need to enjoy his newborness for a while longer.

And we're definitely enjoying his smiles.

In other news, Sebastien is currently obsessed with his goat and horse. They can drive dump trucks, these two. Pretty amazing.

Ahhhhh....summer.

Coping with week three of Papa being back at work. No Auntie to distract us this week...

But Felix is waking up to his world, so that is a good addition to our day.

Much of my days look a bit like this - except there isn't usually someone around to document it. And it's usually a lot messier.

Hanna says this is Felix's deranged look. He stares at the opening between dining room and living room rather a lot. Maybe if we actually gave him something stimulating to look at, he wouldn't have to stare at the wall so much...

And slowly, slowly, Sebbie is starting to engage in independent play again.

Of course, Mama likes playing Duplo too.

Smile courtesy of Hanna. Photo too.

In fact, lots of babyholding courtesy of Hanna.

And toddler reading/watching/distracting.

This guy is still here, too. There's just that pesky work thing.

This is not an entirely accurate reflection of Sebastien's feelings about Felix. But it does show a charming facet of their relationship. Sebastien also thinks we should put Felix under the bed.

But we would never! This lovely face would get all dusty!

And though it's cold...we do make it outside daily. See, we even took the furniture out there.
We only have cold feet because this spring is so damn cold.

But this little face keeps us warm.

And he keeps himself warm by dancing.

And by wearing funny hats.

Of course, there was that one warm day. Blanket warm, not t-shirt warm.

And here is said favourite blanket - favourite of big brother, because it matches his jammies. Made way back when Mama had time to sew...

Funny how babies often look like little thugs. Or maybe it's just my babies that do.

And this is what it's come to...the google images game, that Mama hates, has now become the YouTube game, that Mama hates even more. But it does give Felix a chance to nurse for more than two minutes. And it's good reason to stay away from the computer altogether, to avoid the "Mama, want to see diggers moving!" chant.

Cause hey, we do lots of earth moving of our own. Trucks almost entirely courtesy of a co-worker of mine, who has only granddaughters, yet drops off the best trucks in the world for us to play with. She should just drop off the girls, too.

Look Ma, no fireman hat! He is on his way to get it, of course.
