It's all been a blur lately, what with one of us finishing work, one of us going back to work, and next week, we're both going to work. Excellent for showcasing the juggling/childcare arranging (or mooching from friends...) skills we've accumulated over the last few years.
I've been trying NOT to blur the pictures so much. New camera, to allow us to take videos of the kids antics. Also great for slipping into pockets that the SLR is just too bulky for. Consequently, there are all sorts of pics of the neighbourhood, now that the camera comes with me on my regular pay-my-fines jaunt to the library. Sometimes I even return the books.
Without further ado, this is why I like it here!
This is a pretty cool thing to have almost in your back yard.
Strange little park. One swing, and a picnic table. Lovely shadows, though, and nice trees.
Bay and Algoma - the loveliest little urban oasis of coffee possibility in Thunder Bay, and it's just down the street!
Window shopping....Marimekko fabric...mmmm....
Faded old billboards. It's the kind of cool that just can't be manufactured.
Sleepy Giant. Conveniently visible from the big stairs not 100 m from our house. That also (inconveniently) delineate the "good" neighbourhood from the not-so-good. Which really only matters if you're trying to sell your house. But I digress.
Strawberry season!
We're pretty sure strawberries are diuretic...or maybe Sebastien just likes to take really scenic pee breaks.
And finally, the joy of pretend camping. Real camping is fun too, but hard to squeeze into the time between dinner and bedtime.
It's sultry, steamy day here in the bay of Thunder. (Sebastien: Mama, is Thunder Bay in the sky?) Fred Eaglesmith is playing tonight. All is well on the north coast of Superior today.
